“We will not be drawn into strife”... Qassem: They backed away from the resolution agreement
Fady Mahouly
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, said in a speech during the Lebanese and international popular gatherings coinciding with the funeral of Sayyed Ali Khamenei, that “...the American-Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran is a global aggression against a country that stood alone and defeated the goals of the aggression.”
He said, "We must all work to lift American guardianship over Lebanon... America is exhausting Lebanon with its demands that serve the Israeli enemy."
He continued: “America is gradually occupying Lebanon. Some say, why do you have a relationship with Iran? Oh brother, the relationship with Iran we benefit from, but tell me why do you have a relationship with America when America humiliates you, forces you to make choices, takes your goods, and gives you nothing? Hundreds of violations have occurred since the time of the shooting until now, not the last of which is the killing of the school principal, Ghandour, along with her mother and two of her employees in a civilian car, in a civilian house, in a civilian place, in Nabatieh. "Al-Foqa."
Qassem saw that “the framework agreement concluded by the Lebanese authority is entirely in the interest of Israel. If Israel alone had thought to write this agreement, it would not have been able to accomplish it except in cooperation with America and the Lebanese authority. It is all violations, and what was built on falsehood is false, because the basis of the negotiation is illegitimate, unconstitutional, non-charterous, and illegal. The entire content sells Lebanon to the Israeli entity, even the word withdrawal does not exist, but rather repositioning, that is, there is a piece of Lebanon that belongs to Israel with its approval, and you even enter.” With them to strike Lebanon’s resistance and Lebanon’s strength, and they will supervise how you do that.”
He added: “The President of the Republic asks: (Show me a solution). I am showing you a solution. We accept negotiation with you, but indirect, at least when there is indirect negotiation, when you are presented with something that you study with the specialists, you consult with the relevant people, you prepare yourselves, you give the answer slowly, you look at the reactions, and see the experience carried out by Prime Minister Berri with the 27-11 agreement. How did he achieve an agreement that Israel turned against because it considered it to be what happened? In its favor, but there was a way through discussion and dialogue. They watched Iran with America, for forty days, forty-five days as they drafted the agreement. Why are you in a hurry? By God, we are pressured. Who is pressuring you if you are with your people and no one is pressuring you?
He called for “retracting (from the resolution agreement), and we will not be drawn into strife, but we will not allow anyone to attack us. Our voice will be loud and our positions will be decisive in the interest of sovereignty and human rights in Lebanon. The priority is to restore sovereignty and expel the Israeli. No one will dictate solutions to us. The solutions are discussed together and agreed upon together, and there is no solution except with Israeli withdrawal in exchange for the deployment of the Lebanese army south of the Litani River. These are the borders with the five points that we mentioned repeatedly, which are: withdrawal and army deployment. Lebanon in the south of the Litani River to the border, and stopping the aggression by air, land, sea, demolition and by all standards, releasing prisoners, rebuilding and returning people to their villages to the last inch.”
He stressed: "We are adhering to the path of the Iranian-American understanding, and with it we will remain in the field. We will not submit, and just as we broke the project by not achieving its goal of ending the resistance, we will remain with our audience standing in the field, and the Israelis will not settle, and we will do everything that will liberate this land, and we will liberate it."
